Mervyn’s Page

I have now retired from my job with BEKA Associates Ltd. (www.beka.co.uk) where I was a Reliability Engineer specialising in testing of firmware. I  previously worked as a Quality Manager and Health and Safety Officer. I had worked for them since 2002.

Much of my spare time is taken up with my LGB G-Gauge railway that runs round the garden. It started outside in 2013 and has been growing ever since. We have stations and other buildings and a collection of locomotives and rolling stock. Recently, we bought a 3D printer which is being used to make some of the models for the line. I play with computers to design models for 3D printing. I also have an interest in weather data. I have been collecting weather data in Slip End for a number of years and you can view this data on my weather pages.

I am a member of the Dunstable Little Theatre set building team which takes up some of my time. In the past I have also designed sets from time to time.

For relaxation I used to do tapestry and have done some interesting pictures which can be seen in my gallery page. In recent years the tapestries have been based on photographs taken by Alison which is quite fun.
