Mervyn’s Tapestry Gallery
I took up tapestry as a means of releasing the stress of modern life. It is a hobby which I do when I get time. This is often early mornings at weekends and sometimes while watching a film in the evening. These page shows the results of the ones that I have worked on over the years. While all the pictures are shown as a similar size, the canvases are not, hence the sizes are quoted for each picture.
One of my favourites is this picture of a mountain and meadowland made from one of Alison’s photos.

During a trip to the Italian Dolomites on holiday, Alison took a stunning picture for me to turn into a tapestry.
It took 18 months to complete.
More details can be found on the page with the 2000’s tapestries.
